  • One of the essential orientations of building new curricula and textbooks in Vietnam is approaching learners’ competencies; therefore, teaching activities in general education schools will change radically in this direction. The study used theoretical research methods to systematize, analyze, synthesize, compare and draw conclusions from the literature on education towards developing learners’ competencies globally and in Vietnam. Following the study’s findings, there have been various studies around this issue; however, the research mainly goes into each element of the teaching process. As a result, there is still a lack of a general, methodical, systematic, profound and comprehensiv...

  • The acoustomagnetoelectric effect in a superlattice is investigated for an acoustic wave whose wavelength is smaller than the mean free path l of the electrons and hypersound in the ragion (where q is the acoustic wave number). All the results are compared with the normal bulk semiconductors (both theory and experiment) in the weak magnetic field region to show the difference.

  • Dielectrophoresis (DEP) is known as an attractive and frugal technique to manipulate biological particles in microfluidics. This study presents the advanced solution strategy of a DEP-based microfluidic channel for focusing and separating cancerous cells in continuous flow. Theoretical calculations were carried out to define the favorable parameters in the electric field operation of the microchip. A simulation model was also used to explore the performance of the design in the isolation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs). It revealed that the optimal conditions of the device are suitable to effectively separate CTCs from red blood cells (RBCs) within the channel structure, with a high...

  • Micro-structured molecular semiconductor film-based surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) probes are an important analytical tool for both fundamental and technological research. This study proposed a novel zinc oxide (ZnO)-based, three-dimensional (3D) semiconductor nanoflower (NF) superstructure probe with unique physicochemical properties, including engineered hotspots allowing an arrangement of metallic nanoparticles (NPs), as a means to analyse target molecules. By changing the size, high-density hotspots distributed throughout the nanopetal-like ‘nanorods’ of ZnO supports. When used to analyse crystal violet (CV), there were synergistic effects of silver (Ag), ZnO, and CV mol...

  • A semiconductor metal oxide nanowires (SMO-NWs) shows potential for novel gas sensor applications because of its distinct properties, such as high ratio of surface area to volume, high crystallinity, and perfect pathway forelectron transfer (length of NW). SMO-NW sensors can be configured as resistors or field-effect transistors for gas detection, and different configurations, such as single NW, multiple NWs, and networked NW films, have been established. A surface-functionalizing NWs with catalyst elements and a self-heating NWs provides other options for highly selective andlow-power consumption gas sensors. However, an appropriate design and integration of SMO-NWs should also be ...

  • An intensive field survey on aquatic insects of Me Linh Station for Biodiversity in Vinhphuc province was conducted in December 2015. Specimens were collected at 8 different sites and aquatic insects were collected both quantitatively by Surber net and qualitatively by hand net, pond net. As a result, a total of 110 aquatic insect species belonging to 98 genera, 49 families and 9 orders were recognized. Among these, the order Ephemeroptera had the highest species number with 26 species, followed by Odonata with 25 species, Trichoptera with 18 species, Coleoptera with 15 species, Hemiptera with 11 species, Diptera with 9 species. Lepidoptera, Plecoptera and Megaloptera had the lowest o...

  • The synthesis of porous metal-oxide semiconductors for gas-sensing application is attracting increased interest. In this study, α-Fe2O3 hollow balls were synthesized using an inexpensive, scalable, and template-free hydrothermal method. The gas-sensing characteristics of the semiconductors were sys-tematically investigated. Material characterization by XRD, SEM, HRTEM, and EDS reveals that single-Phase α-Fe2O3 hollow balls with an average diameter of 1.5mm were obtained. The hollow balls were formed by self assembly of α-Fe2O3 nanoparticles with an average diameter of 100 nm. The hollow structure and nanopores between the nanoparticles resulted in the significantly high response of th...

  • When it comes to financial management, an important and much-interested research item can refer to capital structure. Decisions related to capital structure are always very important and crucial for businesses regardless of the industry. Because it affects the competitiveness, as well as the ability to negotiate in the market, the satisfaction of shareholders and investors in the business when the board of directors focuses on the capital structure, towards the ultimate goal. maximize value and profits. Vietnam is a growing market that is a stepping stone, an opportunity for businesses to choose to use funds from different sources. Deciding which fund to use, the capital structure of ...

  • This paper constructs a new type of two-dimensional graphene-like Janus GaInSTe monolayer and systematically investigates its structural and electronic properties as well as the effect of external electric field using first-principles calculations. In the ground state, Janus GaInSTe monolayer is dynamically stable with no imaginary frequencies in its phonon spectrum and possesses a direct band gap semiconductor. The band gap of Janus GaInSTe monolayer can be tuned by applying an electric field, which leads the different transitions from semiconductor to metal, and from indirect to direct band gap. These findings show a great potential application of Janus GaInSTe material for d...

  • This study aims to assess the environmental condition of selected water bodies in Ngọc Thanh commune, Phuc Yen district, Vinh Phuc province. Water quality was assessed by using macro-invertebrates as bio-indicators. Field collection from 20 sampling sites in December 2015 has yielded 71 aquatic macro-invertebrates families, 64 of which were included in the BMWPVIET scoring system. Among 20 sampling sites, eleven sites (from site S10 to site S20) were classified at the α-Mesosaprobe level (quite polluted), with ASPT scores ranging from 3.0 to 4.9; two sites (S7 and S8) with ASPT scores 5.5 and 5.7 respectively, were classified at the β-Mesosaprobe (quite polluted); seven sites (from si...
