지금까지 한국인 베트남어 학습자나 베트남인 한국어 학습자는 시간이 지나면 지날수록
많아지고 있으므로 두 언어에 대한 연구가 또한 필요하다.
교착어인 한국어와 고립어인 베트남어 차이로 인하여 두 언어의 표현 방식이 다르기
때문에 베트남 학습자들은 한국어 동음이의어의 특성과 사용규칙을 제대로 이해하지
못하면 실수를 범하기 쉽다. 즉,동음이의어로 인한 오해로 인해 한국 사람과 소통할 때 많은
어려움을 겪을 수 있다. 동음이의어는 그간의 연구에서 적지 않게 다루어 왔던 연구
대상이다. 특히 한국어에는 동음이의어에 관한 연구는 매우 활발하게 이루어지고 있는 반면
베트남어에는 이런 문제를 연구하는 논의가 많지 않다는 사실이 고찰 결과로 밝혀졌다.
이와 같은 상황을 극복하기 위해 베트남 학습자를 위한 한국어 동음이의어에 대한 연구가
필요하다고 생각한다. 본 연구의 목적은 한국어 동음이의어에 초점을 맞추어 분석하고 이를
바탕으로 보다 효과적인 교육 및 학습 방안을 모색해 보고자 함이다.
