のことわざを中心として定義を示した。その他、日本語のことわざの形式について述
べた。形式と意味・機能によりことわざの分類を提示してきた。
また、上下関係・親疎関係に関する日本人のことわざを分析するために、上下関
係・親疎関係に関する概要も整理するのが必要とされる。社会学的・社会心理学的観
点以外、言語学での調査や理論を基にして上下関係・親疎関係はどのようなものかを
分析した。その親疎関係ともされる日本人の「ウチ・ソト」関係についても述べた。
上記の観点から理論的枠組みを構築し、調査対象をとりあげ、日本語のことわざ
を通じて上下関係・親疎関係について結論を出した。しかも、「批判的・教訓的」と
いうことわざの視点から、自己と他者との働きかけを明らかにした。
最後に、日本語のことわざを形式上と意味上でベトナム語のことわざと対照した。
それに、ことわざを通じて、両言語文化は上下・親疎関係をどのように捉えるのかを
明確にした。
