Faces, voices, and lives: Experiences of a Director in Building a Museum for Communities

Abstract

Museum and community relations, a new issue in many museums in Vietnam and throughout the world, are here discussed through various activities of the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, on topics ranging from exhibitionsand performances to educational and publoic programs. This volume is a compilation of essays and reports by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Huy, Founding Director of VME. These writings were presented over a period of ten years at international conferences dedicated to issues of museum and heritage.
